RE: PBR and Shaders?
Yes, spark supports PBR shaders through its 3d engine, babylon. Here’s an example:
Currently, spark uses dedicated or non-dedicated servers, but not peer to peer. I don’t think we’ll ever support peer to peer unless we find a good reason to.
RE: Can I move "frozen" characters?
Sorry for the late reply.
As it stands, you can animate your own characters from an external tool like Spriter, Animate, or create a png sequence yourself and pack it with Texture Packer. More options will be available soon, but making our own tool from the editor is low on our priority list.
RE: Sharing my Music and Sound FX - Over 960 Tracks
Eric, you have an amazing collection. If you give us permission, we’d love to add it to Spark’s default library. What i’m thinking is, if someone selects one of your tracks, a pop up appears saying that they’d need to either credit you, or pay $30 per track.
Let me know if you agree with that.
Free Assets Call
We’re preparing our Library for the Spark pre-alpha release, and we’re looking for assets to add to our Library. Since we’re starting up with Platform games, we’re mostly looking for Platform specific graphics.
We already have some variety of gfx made. But Athina (our graphics designer) is only one person, so we’re also on the look out for assets with royalty free licenses (licenses that require you to give credits are ok). So, if you know of something that would be good for the Spark library, or if you’ve made something yourself that you’d like to share, drop us a link right here.
PS: Don’t just sent out links to a website, like http://opengameart.org/, or Kenney’s assets. The link should include the actual asset itself.
PS2: For animated characters, spritesheets, png sequences and Spriter are all ok. Spine is not (for now).
PS3: We’re ALSO on the look out for free sound effects and music.
RE: Thing's that should be added next..
That’s a great list. and clever way utilizing the forum’s sort by vote feature… i’ll check here frequently.
Btw, some days i just work and might not reply immediately. But i read all posts, and will reply eventually… This is very helpful for me…
I’ll become more active replying, when the engine doesn’t require so much attention.
